However, too many simultaneous events taking place here suggest there may be a master plan behind the scenes. For instance, just a couple of months after the complete failure of the peace talks, when the Western powers began to look for a fresh initiative, the prime players in the current stalemate are fighting for their lives. To be sure, Mr. Mubarak was not the epitome of democratic freedom, yet, it is hard to understand why the US President was so quick to throw him under the bus and begin shaking hands with his nemesis, long time UN operative Mohamed El Baradei. Mubarak has been an ally of the United States and, together with King Abdullah of Jordan, who may also be on the ropes, is the only Arab leader to make a peace deal with Israel, which should at least win him some sympathy at this time. This is especially true since the radical Muslim Brotherhood may succeed him. Then when we contrast this event with the riots in Iran which, were violently crushed by Ahmadinejad, and which provoked little or no response or support from Obama, there is an obvious disconnect. Yet there is more. The events in Tunisia, which have been blamed by the press as the inspiration for Egypt’s riots, may or may not be related. There are however, two other events that took place within days of Mubarak’s downfall, which are likely far more significant. The government of Lebanon fell to the Iranian Hizbollah and Mahmoud Abbas was fighting for his “political” life after a leak from Al Jazeera concerning his willingness to concede portions of land to Israel. Thus, the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon and possibly Egypt and Jordan may be ruled by radicals aligned with Iran, which would quickly lead to a regional war forcing the Western powers to join Israel in crushing them and eliminating the current terrorist government of Iran. Thus they would have a new chance at Middle-East peace and the completion of their New World Order. Perhaps this is the real reason for the riots in Egypt?
